Niamh Reid of Kingdom Cosmetics accepted to answer our questions about her experience with PR platform JournoLink. With no previous knowledge or experience in PR, she managed to secure coverage for her business. Read her story.
Kingdom Cosmetics is an online cosmetic store. We specialise in 100% vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics, stocking brands such as Barry M, Beauty Without Cruelty, Saturated Colour and PHB Ethical Beauty.

The main challenge with regards to marketing for me was that it was complete unknown territory. I am a start up (only started trading on July 6th 2019) and I have no background in marketing. I also previously got quotes directly from magazines and they were something I could not afford.
JournoLink helped my achieve my objective of writing a press release as it was something I had never done before. My first press release was written for me, but using that as an example and the template on the website has given me the confidence to write my own.
It also meant I have had an article on a major website (county wedding magazine) which I may not have achieved on my own due to finances and not being sure of how to contact journalists.
Thanks to JournoLink, I was featured on the county wedding magazine website. It increased interaction on all of my social accounts and brought more visitors and sales to my website.
