Small Business Saturday- Small Businesses response to Black Friday

Cynical lot these big businesses who think they can barge into the Christmas wallets before the backbone small businesses in the high street have a chance to prove that localness and service actually counts for more than a scrap in a queue, a mass market product and a fight to get a refund when it goes wrong.

These big businesses are a 'Cynical lot'. They think they can barge into the Christmas wallets before the countries high street small businesses have had their chance. We all know that localness and service actually counts for more than a fight in a queue, a mass market product and an argument to get a refund when it goes wrong.

So Small Business Saturday is the chance to prove it. I don’t know about anyone else but I am sick and tired of impersonal corporates just not coming up to the mark….sorry but I had a really bad week with BT which has made me think it's time we backed those who really care.

Lets all do three things today

Consciously buy all our remaining Christmas presents from small businesses.

·   Ask a local business if they can match the price you paid for something on Black Friday from a big company.

·   Shout about the best service and product you get from a small businesses …..tweet away.  And let us know at Journolink on info@journolink.com.

Then go and enjoy Christmas with that great speciality food, those individual presents and the warm glow of knowing you are doing your bit for Small Business in the UK.
