Brighouse-based Yorkshire Payments has extended its services into the south, opening a franchise, South Coast Payments in Winchester, Sussex.
Founder and managing director of Yorkshire Payments, James Howard established Yorkshire Payments in 2013 with a vision to provide safe, secure and efficient payment solutions to a range of businesses across the region.
Franchisee, South Coast Payments, is led by Daniel Waller, who brings 6 years of financial industry experience to the business. With a background in FCA-regulated environments, Daniel undertook a number of senior roles within the sector before establishing the business.
South Coast Payments has plans to recruit one sales person every three months for the next year and is in the process of moving offices to accommodate growth.
To reinforce the typically Yorkshire approach to customer service, both businesses’ account managers are incentivised based on their commitment to customer service, rather than sales, which results in an open and honest sales process.
Yorkshire Payments is currently the only independent service organisation to provide card payment solutions in Yorkshire.
The firm has a five-year franchise model in place, whereby the business will extend its payment services nationally, opening additional franchises across the UK.
James Howard, founder and managing director of Yorkshire Payments said:

Yorkshire Payments is a Yorkshire payment services provider, supplying businesses with electronic payment services. The fast-growing firm offers a variety of secure digital payment options from hand held terminals to online payment platforms.
Operating from their Brighouse base, they boast an impressive client base of more than 4,500 businesses who they provide simple, secure and reliable payment solutions to.
Yorkshire Payments was formed by young entrepreneur James Howard. Beginning with two staff members at a small base in a Halifax-based printing firm in 2013, they then moved to Jeremy’s above the Boathouse in Brighouse. From this small base, the firm has seen substantial growth.
James’s vision has remained to provide independent payment solutions to a range of businesses across the Yorkshire region and, having hit the ground running, Yorkshire Payments quickly progressed to employ seven full time staff members within one year.
Through fast growth the business expanded to new offices in September 2014 to their now current Brighouse base. Yorkshire Payments now supports thousands of businesses and the company’s strong customer service has ensured they have grown at a phenomenal rate.
To date Yorkshire Payments now recruit a team of 33 full time employees and forecasts a turnover of £1.7 million in 2016/17.
