Wonego match-makes Generation Rent to bring modern dating techniques to your flatmate search
Online flatshare matching platform Wonego has launched its beta service.
The service uses intelligent algorithms to match potential flatmates and landlords based on their compatibility and displays the results in your own dashboard to manage and arrange viewings.
Co-founder Stephan Gasteyger said: “Replying to random adverts and judging people over a short conversation is the old fashioned way of flat sharing.
“It may get you a flatmate, but how can you know if they are really compatible with you?”
While the service is still in beta phase, over 1,500 users have experienced the platform.
Using a short, innovative, questionnaire Wonego matches flatmates and landlords based on property needs, lifestyle and personality compatibility. The highest scored matches are presented to users in their dashboard.
The platform is helping London professionals find the most compatible, trustworthy flatmates, and in addition to its matching service the platform will also allow you to book your room.
Co-founder Stuart Atkinson said: “Wonego does the work so you save time and have the confidence that you really are suited to each other.”
Both Stephan and Stuart left careers in financial services to enter and graduate from Silicon Valley startup incubator The Founder Institute, before founding Wonego.
Stuart added: “After working in financial services and always being on the go, we saw a gap in the market for a product that finds you a household with like-minded individuals, rather than existing websites which focus primarily on your budget and location requirements."

The current version of the product is free, but the two co-founders will be introducing a subscription as the business develops.
