Weekly Therapy Group for African & Caribbean Women - London

Silent Echoes Announces Weekly Therapy Group for Women of African & Caribbean Origin in Queens Park, London.

The Silent Echoes Weekly Therapy Group is accepting registration now.

December 2018

There's no doubt Women of African and Caribbean heritage face unique challenges often with little or no support. Silent Echoes hopes to help change this with their Silent Echoes Weekly Therapy group, aimed to provide a safe place for women of colour to be the best versions of themselves.

How often have you told yourself, 'I don’t want to create any drama, so I won’t say anything, I won’t speak up',“ What were the messages you heard growing up? Our mission is to break this programming. We are not victims and with the right guidance we can transform our lives into something truly magical.” quote by Sam Carbon, Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor.

The Therapy Group starts Thursday, January 10th, 2019 and lasts ten weeks. This is certainly enough time for many women to see an incredible amount of progress and positive change.

Silent Echoes acknowledges that culturally women of African & Caribbean heritage are often placed in the position where they must act as “rescuers” by being strong for others, along with the foundation of their families, while putting all of their own challenges to one side. There is nothing ashamed of seeking this group therapy, and the result can be a stronger, more independent, and successful woman in touch with her own feelings, some of which may have been truly buried for a very long time.

The price for the ten-week therapy program is £400 with the session taking place on Thursday evenings between 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM at The Ministry Center located at 20 Lonsdale Rd, Queens Park, NW6, 6RD.
