We increased turnover by £120m

The UK's leading ecommerce company ekm.com has increased turnover for thousands of online retailers by releasing a new checkout experience onto all their customers shops. The latest update from the ecommerce expert team at ww.ekm.com has resulted in over £120m in additional sales, allowing SME online retailers to maximise sales revenue on their online shops.

In 2015 ekm.com released a new checkout experience to its 20,000 strong online ecommerce retailers that was free from distractions, and purely focused on getting the online customer to complete their online sale. Early results indicated that there had been an increase in conversion rates and EKM have announced that just a few months after the release of the new checkout, sales across ekm.com online retailers are up by twenty five percent, resulting in an increase of around £120m in combined annual turnover.

Grant Bliben from leading online bathroom spare parts retailer Bathroom Spare Parts said: “We’re really happy with the new checkout. The improvements show that changes and tweaks make all the difference. We get more conversions and more happy customers with working bathrooms. Win, win!”

Leading Carpet underlay retailer Carpet Underlay Shop experienced a 57% increase in sales over 28 days. “Since the introduction of the new check out, we have seen a big reduction in abandoned carts leading to more completed orders, which is great! ” says David Teague, General Manager.

The EKM checkout study is the biggest of it’s kind as they power thousands of online shops in the UK. The sheer volume of websites using the EKM platform, and the number transactions that flow through means the big data study gives more insight into UK online retailing than any other single source.

Antony Chesworth owner and founder of www.ekm.com says “I’m really proud of the results and the work that the team are doing for our online retailers, ecommerce is constantly evolving and changing and having your own online shop shouldn’t require the shop owner to be an expert in web design, seo or programming. Having you own online shop with EKM means online shop owners can benefit from all the latest technology and expertise with a system that upgrades and repairs itself.
