Chester-based digital and creative agency eJIGSAW are extremely excited to announce they were chosen by the Virgin Strive Challenge to build their new website for the 2018 challenge, as well as a bespoke participant registration form and system.

The initial Strive challenge, set up in 2014 by Sam Branson and cousin Noah Devereux, involved a small team of people testing themselves via a series of ultra-endurance challenges, all to raise funds for the youth charity, Big Change.

The charity, Big Change was created in 2012 by Holly and Sam Branson, and four friends to think differently about the role charity can play in driving positive change for young people across the UK. The charity finds and supports early-stage projects or charities that are rethinking the way of setting up young people in the UK so that they can thrive in life and not just in exams.

The first challenge in 2014 took people from London to the top of the Matterhorn, whilst the 2016 challenge took the Strivers from the Matterhorn to the top of Mount Etna.

In September 2018, a whole host of entrepreneurs, thought leaders, disruptors, philanthropists, inspirational speakers, extraordinary young people and educational trailblazers will form a diverse tribe of Big Changers, striving to transform the way the next generation is supported, by travelling from Sardinia to the top of Mont Blanc, using only the power of human effort.

Head of Digital at eJIGSAW, Neil Coleman had the following to say:

“Working with the Strive team has been an amazing experience. The work they do at Big Change and the challenges they complete are a testament to their ethos and character, and we were absolutely delighted that they chose eJIGSAW to design and build their new website. The 2018 challenge looks absolutely epic and we’re massively proud to be a part of it.”

The team from the Virgin Strive Challenge approached eJIGSAW in late 2017 to completely redesign and develop the website for the 2018 challenge, and also to build a bespoke and secure cloud application to hold all entrant details.
The primary goal of the website was to improve the design and in particular the user experience, ensuring that the signing-up process was more enjoyable, streamlined, secure, and efficient.

eJIGSAW worked closely with the Virgin Strive and Big Change teams, as well as the Virgin Brand Team, and initially, wireframes were created, and each page was carefully and purposefully designed, working with the team to match their ideas and ethos.

The result of the extensive discussions and the hard work of the talented team at eJIGSAW is an incredibly engaging and visually stunning website that has now launched ready for the challenge in September.
