Vintage style street food trader to launch a unique dining experience with a touch of glamour

Vintage style street food trader, Crêpe Lucette, is hosting an evening of ‘Crêpes & Cocktails’ every Wednesday and Sunday at Manahatta bar in Leeds throughout March 2017.

A launch event for Crêpes & Cocktails will take place at the same venue on Pancake Day, 28 February 2017 from 5.30pm.

Guests will be served a complimentary glass of bubbly and appetisers upon arrival, a two-course crêpe-inspired meal and a selection of vintage style cocktails.

Crêpe Lucette prides themselves on using the finest quality award winning local produce, and feel confident that they have captured an awe-inspiring menu for this unique occasion.

The innovative and authentic Crêpe Lucette brand was established through a passion for traditional, French crêpes and quality sourced produce. Trained in Brittany, the crêpe capital of the world, Crêpe Lucette offers a unique crêpe experience, blending history with tasty, fresh and sustainable ingredients.

A key element of the Crêpe Lucette brand is the glamourous ‘Lucette’ waitresses, who will be in attendance on the night sporting polka dot dresses, classic victory rolls and bold red lipstick and providing an added twist to the evening’s entertainment.

Crêpe Lucette began trading in 2011 at local farmer’s markets with a tiny trailer and one member of staff. Business owner Lucie Mountain now owns three trailers, employs fifteen casual members of staff and trades at some of the UK’s largest festivals including Glastonbury, Festival No6, Carfest and Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival.

Crêpe Lucette has also hosted their unique catering experience at corporate events organised by big names such as Audi and Tesco.

Commenting on the launch of Crêpes & Cocktails, business owner Lucie Mountain said:

“With plans to continue focussing on the festival and events industry, along with corporate and private event hire, we hope the Crêpe & Cocktails event will allow us to showcase our brand values and passion for unique and original crêpes. Crêpes are such a fantastically versatile dish that have no boundaries. We wanted to bring a unique evening to the area which we hope to make a regular event. Our Lucettes are really what differentiate us from other street food traders; we add ambience to an event, creating a unique customer experience.”

Crêpe Lucette’s future plans include creating a ‘Crêpe and Cocktails’ tour, taking their signature style of theatre and glamour to various venues across the UK. If all goes well the company also has plans to take up a semi-permanent residency in Leeds.

Tickets to the launch event of Crêpes & Cocktails are priced at £25 and can be booked online at http://www.crepelucette.com/crepesandcocktails

About Crepe Lucette

Born from a passion to create a unique and authentic crêpe experience, Crêpe Lucette was established in 2011 by Lucie Mountain. An avid festival goer, Lucie spotted a gap in the market for reasonably priced and ethically sourced street food. Lucie took her passion for pancakes, which can be traced back to her grandmas kitchen where she would enjoy eating them as a youngster, and travelled to Brittany to learn how to create traditional, quality crepes with the experts. Crêpe Lucette’s mission is to provide a unique and tasty crepe experience with an added theatrical touch to enhance customer experience. The ‘Lucettes’ are an integral part of the Crepe Lucette brand, bringing the customer experience to life and differentiating Crepe Lucette from other street food traders. The sound of 1940’s swing music can often be heard from Crepe Lucette’s pop up creperie; usually playing musical favourites such as Glen Miller and Dame Vera Lynn. All Crêpe Lucette’s sweet and savoury crêpe ingredients are handpicked and ethically sourced from fresh, local and free range suppliers. Crêpe Lucette also provide gluten-free and vegetarian varieties. Corporate social responsibility plays a significant role in Crêpe Lucette’s operations. The company strives for a sustainable future in order for crepe traditions to live on. To help do their bit for the environment, all Crêpe Lucette’s disposable cutlery, plates and napkins are biodegradable and their fine china is all original vintage.
