Stagecoach Performing Arts

UK- established children's performing arts school signs deal to launch in China this month

08 September 2017 14:25

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Tuesday 12th September, Stagecoach Performing Arts' CEO, Sarah Kelly, will sign a deal with Chinese business woman, Yang Jiamin, to launch the first schools in Beijing.

Following tester summer schools, 180 students have signed up for these first schools starting after the Chinese national holiday in October.

Yang Jiamin, a 30-year-old business woman, brought Western musical theatre to China a few years ago through her company, SevenAges.

Whilst it is another example of the East adopting Western culture, there are many elements that this successful franchise business is likely to adapt to suit both students and their parents. For example, the classes are normally three one-hour lessons but have been changed to match the Chinese system of 45-minute lessons.

The 4 Stagecoach schools across 2 locations in Beijing will begin with offering only the Main Stage classes for 6-12 year olds.

Both Sarah Kelly and Yang (Ivy) Jiamin are available for interview on request to Sally Butters 07887 495198 sally@revpr.co.uk

About Stagecoach Performing Arts

About Stagecoach Performing Arts:
Over the years we have seen more than one million students unlock their potential, which is something they will value for their whole life. At Stagecoach we teach our students so much more than how to sing, dance and act. We help them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all its opportunities.

With nearly 30 years’ experience in teaching the performing arts, we understand how to get the best out of our young performers. We delight in seeing our students have fun, make friends, learn new skills and discover hidden talents.

We encourage them to take ‘safe risks’ through rehearsals and performance, which brings out a willingness to take on new challenges. None of us know what the future holds, which is why it’s so important for today’s children to be resilient, brave and self-assured. Furthermore you can rest assured that your child is in safe hands as we adhere to the strictest child safety policies.
