The World Cup comes to Romford

The Surveyors World Cup

The Downwell Group are bringing the World Cup to Romford this June and hopefully will not be as cold as Russia. The company is holding its own version of the World Cup called 'The Surveyors World Cup'. The event is for the construction industry and Downwell Demolition and Enabling will be hosting 32 teams all representing a country from the catual World Cup.

This will be the fourth year of the event and it has steadily grown from 12 teams to 32 teams. Each company taking part will wear the colours of the Country they are representing.

The event will be taking palce at the Play Football football centre in Romford. The company will be using the event to also raise money for the Freekicks foundation - www.freekicksfoundation.org. The Free Kicks Foundation is a Peterborough based charity whose aim is to provide football-related activities for ill, bereaved and disadvantaged children, to give them a day to remember with their favourite football club.

We are hoping to have an ex professional goalkeeper attend to take part in our penalty competition.

It wil be a great event and it gives Downwell a chance to raise our profile within the industry.
