THE LONDON COCKTAIL CLUB BAR GROUP SETS TO RAISE £750K THROUGH CROWDFUNDING PLATFORM CROWDCUBE
The London Cocktail Club have announced the release of their #RaiseTheBar funding campaign using the crowdfunding platform crowdcube.com. In the five minute film, which takes viewers behind the scenes on an action-packed tour through all five of their London party venues, owners JJ Goodman and James Hopkins invite lovers of the brand, aspiring bar owners, investors and fellow entrepreneurs to own a piece of their infamous empire and help them more than treble the size of the company in the next three years.
The London Cocktail Club expect to generate investor confidence, concept awareness and "spread the love" for their wildly popular brand, which due to its infectious ethos and world-class cocktails, welcomes tens of thousands of guests per year and boasts a customer database of almost 60,000 subscribers.
When asked why the company decided to go with crowdfunding JJ said “it’s an incredible opportunity to make our family bigger and give our actual fans the chance to be a part of it. Our core values are all about serving everybody so we loved the idea that our customers can become our investors… what better way to grow our family than to allow everyone to get involved? It was a no brainer”.
BBC’s Dragon Sarah Willingham and Celebrity Chef Raymond Blanc, who sit on the board of directors for the company, are backing the campaign and feature in the film. As part of the month-long strategy, the pair will host a private investors party at The London Cocktail Club’s Oxford Circus branch where they will discuss the business and why they chose to be shareholders.
The official campaign cocktail “Show Me The Money” is available in all London Cocktail Club venues, 2 for £12 throughout the campaign, which closes at the end of the month.
