Caremark have yet more cause for celebration as their Redcar and Cleveland franchise received an OUTSTANDING rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Only 1% of providers in the UK meet this extraordinary standard – prompting Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, to write to the team to express his thanks for their efforts.

In his letter, the MP congratulated the entire Redcar and Cleveland team for the ‘exceptional quality of care’ that lead to the company being awarded the highest possible rating by the CQC.

Charles Folkes, franchisee for Caremark Redcar and Cleveland, said he was honoured by Mr Hunt’s comments and to receive correspondence congratulating the team was a testament to their commitment, compassion and professionalism.

“It’s gratifying to know that the systems and processes we put in place within our business, as well as the genuine care and compassion shown by all, is being recognised. Receiving a personal letter from Jeremy Hunt was the icing on the cake – we’re all incredibly proud and pleased with the result. We couldn’t have achieved this rating without the support of our amazing staff and clients and I would like to thank them for making us the company we are.”

In his letter, Mr Hunt went on to recognise ‘the immense amount of day to day hard work’ by the team which he said could not be underestimated and was greatly appreciated, not just by himself, but by all those who would be benefitting as a result.

After a year already filled with franchise and care sector award wins, new franchisees and record growth, the Caremark network continues to go from strength-to-strength. The company’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading home-care providers sees franchisees continue to thrive as they passionately support the elderly and the vulnerable in their local communities.
