Startup Funding Club has launched the SFC Academy!
Startup Funding Club (SFC), the award-winning business angel syndicate and seed investment fund, has launched a new initiative for early stage startup entrepreneurs in partnership with experienced entrepreneur and angel investor Andy Yates: the SFC Academy.
The programme offers three months of weekly tailored support to help shape the product, commercial approach and team as well as key market, business and strategic planning. The right candidates will receive on-going help from Andy Yates and SFC's extensive network of supporters, partners and investors to maximise your chances of future growth and success.
SFC Academy is aimed at entrepreneurs who are just beginning their entrepreneurial journey and whose company will be able to qualify for SEIS tax treatment. Additionally to receiving mentoring and investor readiness support designed to maximise the chances of raising significant future funding from the SFC fund and network of investors, the candidates will receive £10k of new investment to focus on developing and proving an initial product or service.
Startup Funding Club acts as a facilitator for young British businesses to receive funding by combining its network of business angels with the Startup Funding Club Fund. The London-based firm specialises in SEIS investments, and allows High Net Worth and sophisticated investors to support high potential startups either directly or through a diversified managed portfolio approach. So far, SFC has supported over a 100 companies including Onfido, Petalite, Shoreditch and Pariti.
Andy Yates is an entrepreneur and angel investor who co-founded and ran Digital Look (www.DigitalLook.com), which over a decade became one of Europe's largest financial information businesses. He has also worked as a senior financial journalist and publisher with the FT Group, The Independent and the BBC - where he helped set up and establish BBC News Online.
