Stagecoach Performing Arts shortlisted as brand leader
Stagecoach Performing Arts has been shortlisted for a nationally-recognised business award this week. Thanks to increased growth, a successful brand redesign and a proven business model which, to date, has been adopted by over 350 franchisees across nine countries, they are the only children’s services franchise to be singled out in this category.
The award for ‘Brand Awareness’ is given to those franchises that actively demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of where they sit in their specific marketplace. Stagecoach Performing Arts were shortlisted by the British Franchise Association (bfa) for the network’s commitment to their customers’ needs.
“In 2014, we commissioned extensive research across all stakeholders to understand how the Stagecoach brand was perceived, its relevance to consumers today and what market position it could hold to sustain ongoing business for our franchisees in the future. In other-words we stress tested the brand for the 21st century and based on the results we clearly understood the wider appeal of the business. We unlock children’s potential to accomplish on the stage of life by teaching the performing arts and we call it developing Creative Courage. Immediate actions were taken involving a complete brand refresh, new marketing campaigns and digital strategy. It’s testament to our incredible franchisee network that this rebrand was welcomed and adopted across the board.
“As we approach our 30th anniversary this April, the entire Stagecoach team continues to monitor client engagement and plan our strategy around what our customers want. We have lots of fun activities planned worldwide to help us sustain our progress in brand awareness but also focus on rewarding and retaining students who enjoy our services. We’re delighted to have been recognised for our work and are very much looking forward to the awards evening,” said Andy Knights, Chief Operating Officer at Stagecoach.
The winner of this highly sought after accolade will be announced during the bfa’s annual glittering ‘Franchisor of the Year Awards’ in partnership with HSBC, at the ICC in Birmingham, on Thursday 28th June. All categories are considered by a panel of esteemed judges.
“Stagecoach have been shortlisted as Finalists for the bfa HSBC Brand Awareness Award because they have evidenced an innovative and engaging approach which makes their brand both memorable and meaningful.” Emily Price, Head of Operations at the bfa.
