Smart Venue Summit Launched

London/Bangkok, 21st December: A new international event has been launched focusing on the challenges that event venues face in managing the increasing technology demands of their customers. Industry veterans Paul Woodward and Simon Burton have combined forces to launch the Smart Venue Summit which will run for the first time in Bangkok on 25 – 26 May 2017.

“Every venue manager, whether building new facilities or upgrading existing ones, knows that implementing the right technologies will be one of the keys to achieving competitive advantage in the future. There is nowhere at the moment where the CTOs, CIOs, Operations Services Directors or their bosses can come together to get a better understanding of how to manage this challenge”, said Woodward.

The two day event, with a highly focused conference programme, technology demonstrations and site visits, will take place at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) which will host the Summit in its new conference facilities. The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) will also be supporting the event.

“We’re getting a really positive response from venues around the world”, said Burton. “Everyone knows this is a big issue and no one has a place where they can come together to discuss what their options are. We’re expecting operations and services directors, CTOs, CIOs and others who are interested from exhibition and convention centres, convention hotels and even large arenas to find areas of common interest here”.

Programme details are now being finalised and will be announced shortly.
