A family from the UK have created a new board game inspired by Charles Dickens and reviews suggest it could become the next Christmas classic board game
A twist on a classic Christmas tale, Scrooge The Board Game, is a strategic survival game, challenging players to navigate 56 different streets of London while avoiding Scrooge’s tricks and traps, while interacting with five different decks of cards. The setting is one of the immersive worlds of Dickens and the cards and board are so beautiful that you feel as if you are in that world. The colourful aesthetics evoke the Christmas theme in this family game that resembles the old classics.
The game, inspired by the Gerring family’s Dickensian appreciation and love of board games, is a brand new, fiendishly funny game for family, friends and fun loving adults. It’s got all the makings of a classic, with the perfect blend of traditional and modern game play packed with a fresh sense of humour and a stunning theme that sets you up for a Scroogely hilarious Christmas with the whole family!
Scrooge has already received many accolades one being from Dane Trimble of Everything Board Games who said “What they have here is pretty amazing. Many people will really enjoy this game and I can see a lot of different people liking it.”

The game does have an very interesting range of strategic game play options for adults but the creators have also provided a simpler game option for younger players. The game also contains 30 original illustrations from Dickens’s books, which is a nice touch. A lot of love has been put into this game and many people will have alot of fun playing this Christmas board game adventure.
