Satyam Yoga to introduce newcomers to the world of yoga this Christmas

Cambridge-based yoga centre Satyam Yoga may have just the solution for last-minute Christmas shoppers thanks to the company's new festive gift vouchers.

Giving the gift of yoga is a fantastic way of introducing loved ones to an activity that benefits the mind, body, and soul, something that is particularly important in today’s increasingly hectic world.

Joanna, yoga teacher and founder of the Satyam centre, said: “In my career as a yoga teacher I’ve met a wide range of people who have benefited greatly from the fitness and well-being aspects of yoga. However, I also found that many people felt excluded from the activity either due to preconceptions about the ‘type’ of people that take part or their own physical restrictions."

In this way, Joanna wanted to open an authentic and accessible yoga centre. Since opening in 2016, it has gone from strength to strength and has recently undergone an expansion to include a flotation studio, wellbeing room and another much larger yoga studio on the ground floor.

Joanna continued: “Opening up yoga to everyone was my primary motivation for opening Satyam. I'm so glad we’ve been able to incorporate a range of well-being services to complement our yoga classes and ensure that our visitors get the most out of their time here.”

As well as offering yoga sessions, the Satyam centre provides clients with the opportunity to practice Pilates and fitness sessions, as well as specially tailored classes for those with mobility issues.

Those who feel like expanding into other wellbeing activities are also able to indulge in massages and flotation therapy. Indeed, thanks to the Satyam’s recent expansion, the centre now boasts the only floatation studio in Cambridgeshire. At this rate, it looks like Satyam will be the go-to yoga centre in Cambridge for many years to come.
