FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite charity video as part of the first stage of judging for the inaugural Charity Film Awards.
Recognising the very best films and videos that have been created for registered charities within the UK, the Charity Film Awards is split into six categories; five are for films under 5 minutes in length and are based on the charity’s turnover for the latest financial year, and a final category for videos over 5 minutes, including documentaries.
The Awards are free to enter and charities, agencies and supporters of the charity still have the opportunity to nominate their videos for the Charity Film Awards, with nominations closing on 21 October. The public vote of all the films entered will determine the final shortlist, which will be shown to the expert panel of judges. The winners will then be announced at a gala event at BAFTA in March 2017.
“Video has become a vital part of the way charities communicate,” commented Simon Burton, Co-Founder of the Charity Film Awards. “The Charity Film Awards is providing another opportunity for charities to get their messages heard, whether their videos are designed to change behaviour, present research, provide an update or promote fundraising. The vote has only been open for a few days, but the huge amount of public and celebrity support we’ve already seen shows that charities are at the forefront of the British public’s mind.”

Part PR company, part event organiser, Exposure Communications is a hive of creative energy and original ideas. We think with clarity and produce compelling content that makes a difference.
We’re imaginative, enterprising, occasionally eccentric and very well connected. We fascinated by the opportunities that combining social media and events creates and the way in which “technology” and “live” can work together. We’re as likely to delight in a well-crafted tweet as a well-organised trade-show or brilliantly executed PR campaign.
We have worked on events, projects and campaigns of all shapes and sizes, all around the world. Our clients include venues, destinations, event service suppliers and event organisers. We understand dynamics of these businesses and the event industry landscape which means our creative ideas are always underscored by commercial realism.
