Prime Minister’s Small Business Summit focuses on Brexit

Today (Thursday) the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) will attend the Prime Minister’s business summit on Brexit at Number 10. Mike Cherry, National Chairman at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), said:

“We are delighted that the Prime Minister’s first business event will focus on our members and smaller businesses. Our 5.4 million small businesses are critically important to the economic success of the UK.

“At today’s summit, FSB will stress the need for the Brexit negotiations to focus on the needs of smaller businesses. Our members want access to European markets, the ability to hire the right people, reassurance on key EU-funded schemes and a new approach to both regulation and de-regulation.”

“We will also discuss how small businesses can boost their productivity in the emerging plans for the Government’s new Industrial Strategy. Now more than ever, UK economic growth rests on the future success of our smaller businesses.”
