Press call – The Wye Valley, nature’s playground

We are Inspire2Adventure, an outdoor adventure business based in Monmouth along the River Wye in South Wales. We are celebrating 13 years of bringing adrenaline-fuelled activities to the area and have, this year, introduced an exciting new activity which is the first of its kind in the area.

Our message:

We want the world to know that this area is an incredible adventure playground with natural resources that bring people from all over the world. The Wye Valley is so much more than a picturesque river. Its stunning surroundings, gorges, waterfalls, rapids, crags, cliffs and forests are also an incredible platform for outdoor adventure.

At Inspire2Adventure, we can show you a different side to this area of outstanding natural beauty. Snowdonia already does it so well and we think it’s the Wye Valley's turn to be seen as an alternative centre for outdoor adventure.

Our new activity:

Inspire2Adventure is launching an innovative new activity - stand up paddleboarding (SUP) - to add to our wide range of outdoor adventure activities. We have six brand new stand up paddleboards and a huge Mega SUP which allows up to eight people on it at once.

This allows a group of friends, family or holidaymakers to take part in a water-based experience like nothing else. It's huge fun, challenging and we offer a range of games and tasks too – getting eight people to stand up on the mega board is a challenge in itself.

Our Mega SUP is the first of its kind in the area and it’s going to be a great group activity ideal for youth groups, hen/stag parties and team building. It's also a great way to see the Wye Valley from a very different perspective.

Stand up paddleboarding is the UK's fastest growing watersport and its popularity is still increasing. With inflatable boards now available for increased ease of transport, the opportunities to partake are bigger than ever. It is accessible to everyone, of all ages, sizes and skills and you can do it anywhere there is water.

About us:

Inspire2Adventure is celebrating 13 years in business in 2018. As a family business, we provide guided open canoe and kayak trips, gorge scrambling, a high level ropes course, rock climbing, adventure days and more. We offer half and full day activities, bespoke packages and cater for all ages from 8+, with visitors from all over the world. We love what we do and take great pride in our work.

Liz Marshall and her husband Paul set up Inspire2Adventure in 2005, the same year their daughter Lara was born. As a family they wanted to build a business which would allow them to enjoy the great outdoors whilst raising their daughter. Paul is a highly experienced and qualified outdoor professional and is also a consultant and coach, so running an outdoor activity business was the perfect fit for them all.

The business is well known and has an impeccable score on TripAdvisor rated the top activity provider in the area.

Invitation:

If you would like to come paddleboarding with us (or climbing, gorge scrambling, canoeing or any of our other adventure activities) just let us know.

We'd love to show you the adventurous side of the Wye Valley, which we know so much about but so many people are not aware of. Any questions please do let us know.
