Havering College

On Friday the 26th February, Havering College of Further and Higher Education are teaming up with CIPHE and Pimlico Plumbers to find the region’s top plumbing students. The competition will showcase students from North East London and Essex giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their practical skills as they prepare to join the plumbing industry.

The day will be action packed as competitors go head to head to prove they have what it takes to stand out from the rest. Amongst other things, they will have to demonstrate high level skills in bending, jointing techniques, marking and measuring.

The challenge will be held in the fully equipped plumbing workshop at their Quarles Campus and will be attended by a number of major employers from the Plumbing Industry. It will be an excellent opportunity for students to network both with their peers and potential employers.

The competition is a celebration of the success of the collaboration between the plumbing industry and vocational training. It is open to Level 1, 2 and 3 Learners from all local colleges with a number of competition categories from introduction to advanced level. Prizes include a range of Plumbing tools and will be supplied by BSS - British Steam Specialists.
