Play and Learn Café throws its weight behind Universal Children’s Day

London-based Play and Learn Café, which allows children to explore via playful learning experiences, is urging families to find out how their child learns best following Universal Children’s Day on November 20.

The day focuses on improving the welfare of children worldwide, and on global co-operation on childhood development. For 2018, organisers encouraged people to #GoBlue and use the colour in clothing and accessories, as well as online, to celebrate the occasion.

Gail Johnson, co-director of Play and Learn Café, said: “We firmly believe in the importance of giving children a strong foundation from which to grow, not least during the first three to five years of life. This is when a child develops their language and cognitive abilities, and these years are vital to emotional and physical well-being.

“That’s why we’re so pleased to have supported this year’s Universal Children’s Day, and hope that we can raise as much awareness as possible about early years development.”

The early-years establishment also believes in working in co-operation with early-years professionals in a variety of different environments to meet their training needs. It offers tailored support and training for early years settings and community groups on a range of topics.
