Two Yorkshire entrepreneurs are celebrating record growth in their businesses following a successful partnership together.

Sowerby Bridge-based Mellor Financial Management has worked with Leeds-based PR agency MacComms since January 2017.

Managing Director of Mellor Financial Management, Martin Mellor supports the fast-growing PR firm acting as outsourced Finance Director, while MacComms is responsible for increasing the profile of the Mellor firm by managing the public relations of the local business.

In just five months working together, both firms have experienced record revenue growth marking June each organisation’s most successful month to date. Both are now on track to exceed their respective targets for the current year.

The Yorkshire entrepreneurs met on business accelerator programme, Entrepreneurial Spark, Leeds, where MacComms is still based. The scheme is the largest of its kind in the world, funded by NatWest.

Mellor Financial Management is run by Martin Mellor, a senior finance management specialist with more than 20 years’ experience. Formed in 2016, Mellor Financial Management has seen its growth through providing what Martin believes is a unique combination of financial management and training, including delivering training courses to attendees from as far away as Cameroon and Ireland at events in London and Manchester.

MacComms recently celebrated another duo of client account wins to add to its burgeoning portfolio. The PR experts are firmly on track to deliver a 140% uplift year on year with scope for even further growth into 2018.
