Oxford Innovation adviser named a rising business star
Oxford Innovation finance and funding adviser Keith Mabbutt has been named as one of the rising stars of the UK business world. His talents have been recognised by Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Maserati, which holds annual awards to celebrate inspirational innovation and determination.
The news means Keith now holds an enviable place in this year's Maserati 100 List of the most successful advisers, ascending entrepreneurs, philanthropists, investors and mentors who support emerging business talent.
It’s a well deserved achievement because within business circles Keith is regarded as something of a serial entrepreneur. Since deciding against continuing a promising career in football, he has successfully launched three ventures: a recruitment firm, a video website for recruitment and a televised national contest for student business pitches.
Keith is an integral part of the team at Oxford Innovations, which provides invaluable support and advice services for fledgling and expanding businesses. He is also the new entrepreneur mentor in residence at the University of Kent.
After he was told he'd made the Maserati top 100, Keith said: “I am very proud to have been named in The Maserati 100 List as one of Britain’s most successful businessmen helping the next generation of entrepreneurs. I have a genuine enthusiasm for helping young people realise their true potential.
"Today, you are more likely than ever to work in a small firm or start your own business, so it is fundamental for young people leaving education to have an enterprising attitude. Though this isn’t just the ability to become an entrepreneur; it is about having a can-do positive outlook and the right mind-set.
"In my role at Oxford Innovation, one of the country’s premier business growth specialists, I am pleased to be able to support entrepreneurs of all ages and backgrounds achieve the right results for their business.”
