Oxford Bus Museum Rally with free Vintage bus rides : Sunday 4 October

This year our annual bus rally will be held on 4 October. Free Bus rides every 15 minutes on a selection of vintage vehicles will be run between 10am and 4pm from the museum next to Hanborough Railway Station to Kidlington Airport and/or around local villages. The limited free parking on site will be reserved for disabled badge holders. On Sundays there is no charge in the adjoining main Station car park.

Entry to the museum will be at the usual prices of £4.50 for adults, £3.50 for concessions, £2.50 for children (3-15 years old) or £10 for a family ticket.

There are 30 vintage buses on display together with historic photographs, interactive displays, and a “Playbus”. The entry fee covers both our collection of over 40 vintage bicycles and the Morris Motors Museum, which charts the story of William Morris and his motoring empire in Oxford. Our impressive collection of vintage Morris vehicles represents a good selection of those produced during his life.

We expect a number of visiting buses, coaches, vintage cars, commercial vehicles and motor cycles. The photograph is of some of the vehicles which visited in 2014. There will be a selection of stalls open on the day as well as our own café and shop.

The museum is open on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the year. The Oxford Bus Museum is a Charity and run by volunteers with no paid staff.
