National Enterprise Network joins Trade Association Forum

National Enterprise Network (NEN) today announces it has joined the Trade Association.

Since its formation in 1997, the Trade Association Forum has encouraged the development

and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations and it promotes the role of

effective trade associations to government, industry and the wider public. Its diverse

membership includes well-known names such as ABTA The Travel Association, the Road

Haulage Association and the National Farmers’ Union (NFU).

As the membership body for enterprise support organisations, National Enterprise Network

represents a variety of enterprise support organisations; including enterprise agencies,

Chambers of Commerce, local authorities and other specialist providers. NEN supports the

work of its members through practical benefits and new business opportunities; promoting

the results they achieve to influencers and policy makers and connecting them with people

and projects that can deliver even greater success.

Whilst the business sectors represented by the Trade Association Forum may be unique,

they can often face many of the same organisational issues – a key reason behind NEN’s

decision to join.

Dawn Whiteley, Chief Executive of National Enterprise Network said “We are delighted to

have joined the Trade Association Forum. Networking and sharing of best practice are key

parts of the role we offer to our own members and we look forward to benefitting from those

very tools ourselves as part of this unique network for trade bodies.”
