mytaxi appoints David Savage as the new UK General Manager

David Savage steps into the role as Andy Batty is promoted to Chief Operating Officer

London, 17 September 2018: Europe´s innovative leader in taxi e-hailing mytaxi, has today announced that David Savage, former Head of Sales and Marketing, will follow Andy Batty as the new General Manager for the UK with immediate effect.

The role will see David oversee the whole of the UK business, covering seven cities in the UK, managing operations and development of the business as it continues to grow. mytaxi has more than 10 million passengers, 100,000 drivers, and is the leading taxi e-hailing app in Europe.

David has managed key areas of mytaxi UK for over two years including Marketing, Sales and Operations and acted as interim General Manager during the mytaxi/Hailo merger period. Andy Batty was promoted earlier this year to Chief Operating Officer.

David joined the Hailo business in 2016 as Operations Manager from the aviation and travel sector, where over a 13 year career he held commercial and operational roles in fast growing service led companies. David started his professional career in Marketing and later Yield Management at Ryanair.

We strongly increased our footprint from Brighton to Edinburgh and David significantly contributed to this.
