Modish Living launch new range of British-made tables and chairs
Modish Living is pleased to announce they are launching an exciting new range of British-made tables and chairs. Modish Living is known for selling beautifully handcrafted tables and chairs made using reclaimed wood.
These products have been created by artisan craftsman Roger, who has spent 45 years perfecting the art of producing beautiful furniture. The wood used is often over 100 years old and is usually sourced locally, from farm buildings or factories due for demolition. Roger works from his farm workshop in Dorset, alongside his son and son in law.
The unique Nordic Inlay table [http://www.modishliving.co.uk/collections/dining-tables/products/luxury-nordic-reclaimed-wood-dining-room-table?variant=1291206572] has been constructed using locally sourced timber joists. The table features planks that run along the length of the table, framed with an intricate wooden inlay.
Roger has also created an oak version, [http://www.modishliving.co.uk/collections/dining-tables/products/oak-inlay-dining-table?variant=9101479237] built to the same design, but constructed using oak that has been responsibly sourced within the local area. The oak has been dried and prepared to give a beautiful, 'restored' look, which not only adds character but allows the natural patina of the oak to be truly appreciated.
Speaking of his work, Roger said: "I just do what I love. I love finding old wood and giving it another life. I love the history and character that comes with reclaimed wood. I find wood that has been in old buildings working hard for many years, and I help by placing it in more gentle surrounding. I sort of help the wood retire, and I love it!"
In addition, Modish Living, who are based in Hove, Sussex, have launched two new leather dining chairs.
