03 June 2015 15:15

Nikolay Piriankov, who founded award winning bespoke jeweller Rare Pink while at university, has impressed the public and the judges with his unique business pitch. From 524 entrants within the ‘grow’ category, they have now been shortlisted for the top 10 of the Pitch to Rich competition, run by Virgin Media Business.

The winner will be chosen by Richard Branson and a team of prestigious judges including Jo Malone, David Gandy, Jon Oringer, and Justine Roberts in a live final on the 26th of June. The winning business in the ‘grow’ category will win a £250,000 marketing campaign.

Co-founder Nikolay Piriankov says, “The kind of clout that Virgin has as a brand can really help us reach more customers with a product that is full of sentiment, meaning and tells their unique story. Rare Pink is a company that, like Virgin Media Business, focusses on the customer experience and uses innovations like 3D printing to shake up the jewellery industry”.

#Voom: Pitch to Rich 2015 is a nationwide competition run by Virgin Media Business to find the country’s most exciting and innovative businesses. Virgin Media Business is offering an unprecedented £1m business accelerator prize fund to support three winning businesses – whether it’s just an idea, a promising start-up or a company with huge growth potential.

The competition is the latest Virgin Media Business initiative to support small, growing UK businesses – the disproportionate drivers of the national economy. This has included the introduction of specifically-designed broadband services and the creation of free expert resources to help entrepreneurs make the most of the opportunities created by the digital world.
