Local salon says National Eczema Week highlights importance of good skincare
A Basildon-based mobile beauty and spa firm is urging people to remember the importance of a good skincare regime following a recent National Eczema Week awareness campaign.
Benedicta Tufflour, the director of Bennie’s Spa & Beauty, said: “This national campaign could offer the perfect opportunity to rethink your skincare routine – and the drive has really highlighted its importance.
“Looking after your skin is vital – and we’re here to help, and happy to chat about the different treatments we offer.”
National Eczema Week, held this year from September 15-23, urged people to ‘take action on eczema’.
According to the National Eczema Society, not everyone is managing this very personal condition properly, so there is room for improvement.
Equally, not everyone responds to treatments in the same way, so it may be worth experimenting with a few things before finding a way of managing your skincare in a way that works best for you.
That may include, for example, keeping your home fairly cool to relieve itching, not using scented products and pinching rather than scratching skin to ease an itch.
