Caremark

Local care provider to create 30 new jobs

06 February 2018 15:47

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ash Sajjad isn't your ordinary 34-year-old. He's passionate about community, changing people's lives and bringing work to local residents. Determined to make a difference, he's just announced plans to create 30 jobs for local people over the next six months with his homecare business, Caremark, in Dacorum and St Albans.

"For me, the main reason to open this business was to serve my community and as such our carers are just as important to us as our customers - they are at the heart of everything we do. I love working in care; working with passionate, caring people who make a significant change for the better in people's everyday lives," says Ash.

With the Care Quality Commission's approval, Ash officially launched his new business, Caremark, on 30th October and is already working with many families in the area to provide a vital service.

Ash aims to become an employer of choice in the area, as well as the go-to care provider: "I strive to ensure that our care workers are well trained, feel valued and respected for the fantastic job they do day-in, day-out. I'm very excited and passionate to create much needed jobs in the community - I want to provide opportunities for everyone, whether you're a mum looking to get back to work, a parent who needs part-time, flexible hours or if you're as passionate as I am about care and want a life-long career in the business. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the new few years!"

Ash has a successful career in healthcare under his belt, having been in the industry since 2012. He's keen to work with the Local Authorities of Dacorum and St Albans to help alleviate the pressures and ever increasing demand for quality care. And he knows, from his own experience, that his new business can do just that.

"I decided that setting up my own company was how I could make the most impact. I've run a care business before so I know what matters most to customers, their families and the care workers who make all of this possible. Our aim is to deliver a homecare service that we would be happy for our family and loved ones to receive, and to help our customers to maintain their independence and lifestyle by supporting them in their own homes."

Caremark's office at Enterprise House in Hemel Hempstead, sits behind the Royal Mail and opposite the local ambulance depot - Ash hopes his business will become as integral to the community as both.

About Caremark

Caremark is one of the UK's leading home care providers with over 100 offices in the UK and Ireland. We support over 6000 customers and employ more than 4000 carers every single week across the UK.

Established in 2005, Caremark is proud to be a wholly UK owned and operated home care franchise which has an established and successful UK based network. 43% of Caremark franchisees are female, which is almost double the national franchising average and is a figure we are really proud of. Not only that, but a large proportion of our senior management team are women, including our Finance Director, National Operations Manager and National Training Manager.

The UK has an ageing population which is estimated to grow some 58% in the next 20 years. As the demand for more complex and highly professional levels of care increases, we continue to provide a quality service to those in need of help and support. There is also a developing awareness that care at home can benefit not only those individuals in need but the hospitals and other organisations that are also responsible for looking after them.
