FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Transformational growth expert Lisa Ashworth has joined JournoLink as a Non-Executive Director after a 14-year stint heading up PR Newswire’s EMEA and India business.
Lisa brings a track record of consistently achieving corporate targets, experience that JournoLink stands to benefit from with her appointment to the Board. Her global outlook and cross cultural instincts from managing a successful international business at PR Newswire fits perfectly with JournoLink's future plans. “What excites me about JournoLink,“ says Lisa, “is the thought that there is a perfect ready made, easy to use and cost-effective UK established tech solution that could be rolled out globally.”
Prior to joining PR Newswire, Ashworth was Director of Financial Times Electronic Publishing and her joining to the Board coincides with a review of the PR platform’s service offering, market positioning and pricing. “We’ve done well with 7,000 plus journalists in all sectors to who we can connect our 4,500 clients,” says Peter Ibbetson, JournoLink Director, “but it’s time to scale up our service and reach even more businesses looking for a cost-effective way of accessing PR.”
Scaling up the platform to meet the competition and taking the lead is the sort of challenge Lisa relishes. “We’ll be architecting a positive culture to sustain strong and repeatable growth,” she says, “and it requires both nurturing talent and motivating teams to achieve their full potential.”
Lisa joins existing Non-Executive Directors Helen Protopapas and Annette Petchey who both bring strategic experience from executive positions within their respective fields.
JournoLink launched in 2014 and provides affordable tools and services that allow businesses of all sizes to access PR and get themselves in front of the media.

JournoLink bridges the gap between businesses and the media; using the online platform businesses can connect with journalists, broadcasters and bloggers through news, editorial requests and events.
Founded in 2014 the platform was created by Peter Ibbetson, Gemma Guise and broadcast journalist Tetteh Kofi.
Combining Peter’s experience in the small business market, with daughter Gemma’s PR skills and Tetteh's knowledge of the media industry, they were able to create an all-in-one solution for businesses who want to get in front of the media and journalists who struggle to find new and exciting business stories, case studies and opinions.
In 2015 Gemma Guise was listed as one of the top women to watch in the Media and Journalist category of the We Are The City annual awards. In the following year JournoLink was listed at the prestigious Real Business/Everline Awards ceremony, as one of the Future 50 businesses to watch in disrupting their industries.
