Lilliput Dorset Gin wins Silver Outstanding in the 2017 International Wine and Spirit Competition

Lilliput Dorset Gin are delighted to announce that they have won a Silver Outstanding award in the 2017 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) for their beautiful new Dorset gin.

Founded in 1969, the IWSC is considered to be the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world.

The awards given by the competition are believed to be among some of the highest honours in the industry. Judging for the Competition is unique in that it has two stages; first, the products are tasted blind by expert panels, selected from over 300 fully experienced and qualified industry judges. Products which receive the top medals are then subject to technical analysis before results are released; this crucial stage ensures winners receive complete validation.

Founded in March 2017, Lilliput Dorset Gin is distilled with pride in Lilliput, Poole in Dorset. Made from their very own home-grown organic Rosemary, organic Basil from Egypt, organic Thyme from Spain and organic fresh water fermented Kalamata Olives from Greece. For them, it's this combination of tastes and aromas that evoke the feeling of being by the coast and best capture their desire to escape to the beautiful Dorset coastline. Founder, Andy Woodfield said “we’re delighted the IWSC judges love our beautiful new gin, since we started distilling in March this year we’ve been overwhelmed with the response from our customers, as the newest gin from Dorset we’re proud to uphold the long tradition of award winning products from our fabulous county of Dorset”.

About Lilliput Dorset Gin

Lilliput Dorset Gin is distilled with pride in Poole, Dorset from Rosemary, Basil, Thyme and Olives.

Lilliput Dorset Gin emerged from our founders desire to create a product that captured the invigorating spirit of summer on the Dorset coast, escaping from the daily dramas of life back to something just a little more real, the simpler, refreshing and timeless beauty of life on the Jurassic coastline of Dorset.

Founded in March 2017, Lilliput Dorset Gin was very much an experiment, the team had no idea if it would work, if they could launch a product or a business, and like all great experiments failure was always a very real option. They were sure that great success stories were made from many failures, their challenge was to learn quickly and adapt, they hope they'll become another one of Dorset's great success stories.
