Leeds-based manufacturer expands to new offices

A Leeds-based manufacturer of men’s fashion accessories has moved into larger offices to accommodate fast company growth.

Established in 2014, Vanacci designs and manufactures innovative men’s accessories, including watches, pendants, wallets, scented jewellery and much more, with new ranges being released every 3 months.

Expanding their office space by 76%, the new base is within a converted mill off Bangor Terrace, Lower Wortley. The firm now operates and produces all its goods from the larger unit measuring 86m2, compared to their previous 20m2 space in Bingley, Bradford.

The increase in size has allowed the business to purchase additional machinery including a lathe and install a permanent photography studio and assembly line. The location also allows for a small staff gym area.

Plans for 2017 include the release of 6 new product ranges and the recruitment of 2 new members of staff to support business growth and development.

Commenting on the expansion, managing director, James Whitworth said:

“The team are incredibly pleased to have been able to increase their work space, allowing for more manufacturing equipment and the opportunity to embrace a whole host of new production methods and techniques. We expanded the team in September 2016 and as a result needed additional space to accommodate the growing business. The larger space has allowed us to be more creative, trying new production methods and purchasing new machinery.

“With the much-needed addition of a lathe for making prototypes, an assembly studio, an upgraded packing area, a dedicated design space and a permanent photo studio, we’re now well equipped to take this Christmas by storm as it usually our busiest time of the year. The most important thing is that we now have room to expand, with plans to add in two new assembly lines over the next year and employ full-time assembly staff to build our products.”

The news follows Vanacci’s recent accreditation from the Made in Britain initiative, which seeks to support and promote British manufacturing, enabling buyers and consumers at home and abroad to identify British-made products.
