Leeds start-up quiz supports homeless charity

A Leeds-based entrepreneur has supported a homeless charity by playing his innovative online quiz, raising more than £1000.

Successful businessman, Mark Walsh, developed the unique smartphone interactive quiz, Kwizzbit, just four months ago.

Kwizzbit aims to transform the traditional quiz by providing a unique cloud-based on demand quiz solution which customers can access on their smart phones.

More than a dozen teams battled to give speedy answers to several rounds of questions last Thursday 17 November at Arts@Trinity who kindly donated the venue for free. The hardest round was the sobering questions set by charity, Simon on the Streets’ Trustee Louise Lapish on homelessness.

The audience bought over £450 worth of Christmas prize draw tickets. In addition, attendance at the event raised more than £1,000 for the charity.

Mark commented:

“I was so pleased about the buzz we created, the response of those playing Kwizzbit and most importantly that we were able to support the great work that Simon on the Streets do.”

Charity trustee Louise Lapish added:

“Playing Kwizzbit was a new way to get across an important message about the realities of the homeless and rootless in our society and I’d like to thank Mark Walsh and Tim Collins for organising the successful event.”
