Joanna Hill appointed as chairman of the Inspirational Learning Group
Joanna Hill, former CEO of Start Up Loans, is the new chairman of The Inspirational Learning Group. The company was set up with a government-backed start-up loan and her appointment comes as the company launches its new website and moves to new offices in Stafford.
Founded by cousins Ben and Michael Dyer from Stoke, the business provides off-timetable business challenges for schools and colleges UK-wide. The company has already delivered 200 enterprise days in schools this year, with many more to come.
Its core programme, The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge, is Britain’s biggest enterprise and employability competition. Ex-‘Dragon’ Theo Paphitis is the scheme’s main ambassador. This has attracted over 450 schools and 200,000 students since it was launched back in 2013.
Hill is also a Tavistock Institute of Human Relations trustee.
She said: “'I’m delighted to be working with the team at this crucial time . The company has already achieved so much since receiving the loan and support from Start Up Loans and I know they have a bright future ahead of them. Their success will see many more young people enthused about the future and I'm sure many future entrepreneurs will also be inspired by their journey”.

Meanwhile Lord Young of Graffham, a former small business and enterprise adviser to the Prime Minister and who inspired the creation of Start Up Loans, added: “I am delighted to see Joanna appointed as Chairman of the Inspirational Learning Group, not least because the company was established with the help of a start-up loan.
