International Surrealism Now 2017 at PO.RO.S Museum in the New Age World Order

CONDEIXA-A-NOVA, Coimbra, Portugal, June 9, 2017 - The largest World exhibition of contemporary Surrealism art in Europe start now, September 17th of 2017 will host a new edition of the International Surrealism Now at the Multimedia P.O.R.O.S. Museum, in the village of Condeixa-a-Nova, in Portugal.

The World is living a dangerous age with a population of billions that can´t be possible an existence of a social equilibrium. The wars created to sell weapons, the radical terrorism coming from medieval societies with access to 21st century technology to combat the savage and monopoly capitalism of modern imperialism. All these thems are including to influence the modern and contemporary surrealist movement.

It is in this context that movements also appear that appeal for ideological freedom and without dogmatisms, creative freedom linked to the dream, the lyrical and the beautiful which brings the hope of a new life.

And this is the International Surrealism Now!

International Surrealism Now began in Coimbra in 2010, where a first major exhibition took place, organized by the Bissaya Barreto Foundation and conceived by Santiago Ribeiro.

International Surrealism Now is a project by Santiago Ribeiro, Portuguese surrealist painter, who has been dedicated to promoting the Surrealism of the 21st century, through exhibitions held in various parts of the world: Berlin, Moscow, Dallas, Los Angeles, Mississippi, Warsaw, Nantes, Paris, Florence, Madrid, Granada, Barcelona, Lisbon, Belgrade, Monte Negro, Romania, Japan and Brazil. Surrealism now is the union of visionary, surrealist, abstract, fantastic realism art movements.

The exhibition is composed of works of drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and digital art.
