Inspire Home Automation, inspired by British manufacturing, to exhibit at this month's Homebuilding and Renovating Show
The newest update of a British-made smart thermostat is due to launch at this month’s Homebuilding and Renovating Show.
Inspire Home Automation’s flagship product, it’s Ignite Smart Thermostat, is designed and developed in Ferndown and the 2018 version will be launched at the ExCel exhibition centre between 22 and 24 September.
Matthew Smith, Director of Inspire Home Automation, said: "With Brexit making up most of the headlines recently, it’s great to be able to prove that British manufacturing is still alive and well.
"Our products, which are all made in Britain, combine British manufacturing with the thriving British tech industry."
The latest update will provide users with a number of money saving features, including:
• Weather compensation to lower the target temperature when it is going to be a warm, sunny day;
• Multiple temperature profiles for autumn, spring, winter, school and other holidays, with the opportunity to automatically switch between these profiles on specified dates to maximise potential savings;
• Optimised starts to take the guess work out of deciding when to turn the heating on.
The current model of the thermostat is already being used by thousands of people across the country and can be found in a range of properties including new builds, HMOs, churches, village halls, pubs and guest houses.
In its present form the product allows users to see when their heating is being used, giving users the ability to view the temperature inside their home over a period of months, as well as at specific points in time.
It also includes an optional geolocation feature, meaning your heating can be automatically turned off or down when you are leaving the home will automatically turn up or back on again on your return.
Matthew added: "Household energy efficiency is becoming a bigger issue and we believe our product is a great way for homeowners, landlords and others to reduce their costs at the same time as reducing the negative impact of excess heat energy on the environment.
"We are so confident that our thermostats will save you money on your bills within 12 months that we even offer a money back guarantee on the product."
The team hope that exhibiting at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show in London will give them a great chance to demonstrate the real savings that Smart Heating can bring to end customers.
