Innovative quiz business endorsed by Leeds MP

A Leeds-based entrepreneur has created a new online platform to play quizzes, catching the attention of Leeds North West MP, Greg Mulholland.

Successful businessman, Mark Walsh, developed the software for an interactive pub quiz, Kwizzbit, earlier this year.

Kwizzbit aims to transform the traditional pub quiz by providing a unique cloud-based on demand quiz solution which customers can access on their smart phones.

Having launched Kwizzbit just four months ago, Mark has had interest from hundreds of pubs looking to trial and play the game and it has caught the eye of other individuals and industry sectors. RBS has trailed the software as an interactive learning and development tool for training its staff and the business has seen interest from further national giants including KPMG and Sky.

Mark is the inventor and creator of the successful pub game, Rock and Roll Bingo. Having exited the business and sold his trademark, Mark went on to develop Kwizzbit. Built on the learning’s of past success with the findings and feedback from customers, Mark, along with his business partners John Sheard and Steve Saul, have validated the game and look forward implementing the interactive solution into pubs across the UK.

Mark met Greg Mulholland, along with several other MPs when he delivered a talk and a game at the Houses of Parliament as part Great British Pub week a few years back in a bid to save the British pub, a cause close to the heart of the entrepreneur.

Greg Mulholland, MP, has been one of the first to test the new game.

Greg comments:

“It was a pleasure to meet Mark again and to try Kwizzbit, which is a really fun and innovative but simple way of doing a pub quiz using the latest technology. I wish him and the team every success with Kwizzbit and bringing people together to enjoy this popular pastime and in doing so helping licensees and supporting the Great British pub.”

Mark adds:

“It was great fun to meet with MP Greg Mulholland and showcase our new game. Restoring the Great British Pub is a passion of mine and I’m delighted that the technology, which only requires a mobile phone to play, is becoming noticed for several other ways to gain interactivity; through conferences, events, training and development and even marketing. We are looking forward to playing Kwizzbit as part of next year’s events and hope to test the trivia of a number of MPs in doing so.”
