'Improving life expectancies means more strain on our health service' says Essex-based healthcare recruiter

'While generational increases in life expectancies are something to be welcomed, it does put more strain on our health service' says an Essex-based healthcare recruiter in response to today's ONS life expectancy data.

Florence Handitye, Director of Aquila Healthcare Ltd, whose background is in the care industry, says that for life expectancies to keep improving the NHS and local providers are constantly facing an uphill battle to cope with an increased demand for services.

Florence said: "What we need to do as health and social care providers is educate people to have a better understanding of living healthy, including promoting an affordable diet and lifestyle for all ages and cultural backgrounds."

After working in working in the health and social care sector, primarily with people who live independently such as those with autism, Florence then started in recruitment for the care industry.

Her business, Aquila Healthcare Ltd, is due to launch in early 2018, serving parts of East London and Essex having recently secured a number of staff members to work for her.
