Ignite Business Award gives 1000 entrepreneurs free workshops
The Enterprise Agency for Braintree District, Ignite Business, has been awarded a countywide contract to provide over 120 free business workshops across Essex before the end of March 2016.
Awarded by BEST Growth Hub, the contract will see Ignite Business deliver free workshops to small businesses across Essex with subjects including Social Media, Marketing & Sales, Presentation Skills, HR & Employment, Funding, Websites, People Skills, Health & Safety, Financials, and Exporting.
Ignite Business’ Managing Director and CEO, Liz Storey, said: “We are thrilled to be providing this vast range of free courses for the business community. We are also proud that through this partnership with BEST Growth Hub our team will be working with the small and medium businesses of Essex to help them grow.”
BEST (Business Essex, Southend and Thurrock) Growth Hub was launched in October 2015 and exists to help businesses realise their potential with free business support. The contract was awarded to Ignite Business to provide fully funded business support workshops across Essex, Southend and Thurrock, which cover the districts of Braintree, Colchester, Tendring, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Maldon, Epping, Harlow, Uttlesford, Basildon, Castle Point, Rochford, Thurrock and Southend on Sea.
The workshops will have between 10 and 20 attendees and some will be broadcast live on the internet as webinars, which can have up to 100 people participating.
In order to qualify for a place on any of the courses, attendees must be part of an existing Small or Medium Enterprise based in Essex.
Ignite is responsible for co-ordinating its team of skilled tutors, providing the high-quality workshop content and sourcing all suitable venues. The Enterprise Agency has a proven track record of providing courses successfully within the district and has garnered high praise from those attending.
The contract runs through to 31st March 2016.
