Hybrid releases English/Spanish single "Make a Move"
‘Hybrid’ is a new RnB/Pop and Latin artist making moves with his debut single “Make a Move”. This 21-year-old of a diverse heritage, combines his multilingual inspiration, merging it into a popular music trend that is often referred to as ‘Spanglish’. However, Hybrid is one of the rare current Spanish - UK based artists to deliver the style in the UK.
Despite Hybrid growing up in a non-musical family, he always had a passion for singing which was a surprise, since no one else in his family carried the talent he did. Ultimately this dark horse so to speak, turned out to be extremely talented and was discovered whilst participating in a Spanish talent show. Following positive and credible feedback, he then took a more serious approach to pursue singing; but not without convincing his mother he had a sustainable future in music. Eventually, Hybrid caught the eye of industry professionals and headed to London to start working on carving a career in the music industry by signing with Nexar Music.
Since then, he’s collaborated with producers who have worked with a number of top artists including French Montana, LSD, Labrinth, Plan B, Kanye West, and Jason Derulo.
Make A Move is an explosive debut, filmed in Valencia, the single tells the true life story of Hybrid’s interest in a girl and the hesitation and uncertainty of whether the feeling was mutual, with the moral of the story being if you want to be with someone let them know and make the move.
Make A Move was written by Hybrid, Karim Gibson (Jakk City) and produced by Lee Hing-Coa & Dominic Husbands aka Dot inc. Hybrid's Make A Move is a cutting edge nu-R&B crossover that turns up the energy on all the best flavours of Latin Pop, Dancehall and Electronic into a slow-burning, energy filled anthem. With a clear ear for melody, the bilingual verses seamlessly transfer into the anthemic hooks of the chorus that is sure to be stuck in your head until you hear them again.
