Grand Opening for Glamping Site on Day of National Pride

29 January 2018 12:30

St David’s Day Opening for Wigwam® Holidays Hafren – the Perfect Glamping Place in Powys!

There couldn’t be a more appropriate opening day for the newest glamping site in Wales! Thursday 1st March, (St David’s Day), will feature the grand opening for Wigwam ® Holidays Hafren in Powys.

Set among the Powys mountains, this newest addition to the Wigwam® Holidays portfolio is set on a working farm near the village of Staylittle.

Six luxurious Wigwam® Cabins nestle in the beautiful Welsh countryside, two of which have the added bonus of a private hot tub.

Staying true to their Welsh roots, site owners Endaf and Nia Meddins have named each Wigwam® Cabin after natural landmarks, and their site is perfectly placed for anyone tackling Glyndwr’s Way, one of the National Trails, while the Lon Las Cymru cycle route passes within a mile of Wigwam® Holidays Hafren.

Nia said: “We are geared for the active holiday maker as our site will include storage for mountain bikes and after a busy day of activity, guests can relax around our firepits before resting up in a warm, insulated and comfortable Wigwam® Cabin. There’s also a pub about half a mile away, serving great food.

“We are very proud of our part of Wales, and felt the Wigwam® Cabins to be the ideal accommodation for our guests.”

While surrounded by farmland and mountains, activities including sailing, kayaking and other outdoor activities.

Editors Notes: Wigwam® Holidays Hafren is part of the Wigwam® Network, which includes over 80 sites across the British Isles.

Agor Gwyliau Wigwam Hafren ar Ddydd Gwyl Dewi sant – y Lle Perffaith i Glampio ym Mhowys!

Ni ellir cael diwrnod agored fwy addas i safle glampio diweddaraf Cymru! Fe ddigwydd yr agoriad swyddogol i Wyliau Wigwam Hafren ddydd Iau, Mawrth 1af, sef Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant.

Wedi ei leoli yn ardal fynyddig Powys, mae safle diweddaraf ym mhortffolio Gwyliau Wigwam ar fferm weithredol ger pentref Penfforddlas.

Mae chwech o Gabanau moethus Wigwam yn gorwedd yn glyd yng nghefn gwlad prydferth Cymru, gyda bonws o dwba poeth preifat i ddau o’r rhain.

Gan lynnu’n gadarn i’w gwreiddiau Cymreig, mae Endaf a Nia Meddins, perchnogion y safle, wedi enwi pob Caban Wigwam ar ol lleoliadau cynhenid. Mae’r safle mewn lleoliad perffaith i unrhyw un sydd am fentro ar Ffordd Glyndwr, un o’r Llwybrau Cenedlaethol, ac mae’r llwybr beicio, Lon Las Cymru yn mynd heibio’r saflei Wyliau Wigwam Hafren.

Dywed Nia: “’Rydym wedi paratoi ar gyfer gweithgareddau awyr agored i’r gwestai – mae’r safle yn cynnwys storfa i feiciau mynydd, ac ar ol diwrnod prysur o weithgareddau bydd ein gwestai yn medru ymlacio o amgylch tan agored cyn gorffwys mewn Caban Wigwam wedi ei insiwleiddio yn gynnes a chlyd. Hefyd, mae tafarn tua hanner milltir i ffwrdd lle gellir archebu bwyd da.

“Rydym yn hynod falch o’r rhan yma o Gymru, a chredwn fod Cabanau Wigwam yn lety delfrydol i’n gwestai”. Wedi ei amgylchynu gan dir amaethyddol a mynyddoedd, mae llawer o weithgareddau awyr agored ar gael yn cynnwys hwylio a kayakio.

Nodiadau’r Golygydd: Mae Gwyliau Wigwam Hafren yn rhan o’r Rhwydwaith Wigwam, sy’n cynnwys dros 80 safle ar draws Ynys Prydain.
