Fast-growing Yorkshire PR firm takes on new intern

A fast-growing Yorkshire-based PR agency has appointed a new student intern to support the company over the summer months.

MacComms, based in the Digital Hub on Whitehall Road, Leeds, has appointed French and international media communications student, Emily Daly, to its growing team.

Emily, who hails from Leeds and studies at the University of Nottingham, joins the team as a PR intern over summer.

Having spent a year in Bordeaux, France on Erasmus working as a teaching assistant, Emily enjoys travelling and is passionate about languages and literature, she also recently spent a month in Madagascar teaching and translating English.

Formed in April 2015, MacComms is founded and run by leading West Yorkshire businesswoman Ellie MacDonald who has 10 years’ PR and marketing experience.

Just three years since forming, MacComms has helped 100 firms to raise their profile and has supported a number of fellow Yorkshire start-up through to scale-up businesses to raise their profile locally and nationally.
