Fast-growing PR agency partners with leading entertainers to host third birthday celebration

A Leeds-based PR agency has partnered with a leading cocktail specialist, and interactive quiz company, to host a networking and celebration event for the firm’s third year in business, raising funds for a local charity.

MacComms will host the event on 26 April 2018 at 5.00pm at the company’s new office base in the new Yorkshire Post building, No1, 26 Whitehall Road, Leeds.

Attendees will be welcomed with entertainment, nibbles and cocktails in partnership with its client Zest Mixology, with the chance to create their very own bespoke cocktail, with donations going towards Yorkshire homelessness charity, Simon on the Streets.

Guests will have the opportunity to hear from MacComms’ founder, Ellie MacDonald about her entrepreneurial journey and the agency’s success over the last three years and plans for further growth.

MacComms will also be partnering with Leeds-based technology firm, KwizzBit to provide game-show style entertainment for attendees on the night.

Having recently appeared on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den, KwizzBit will showcase its interactive gaming software and attendees will have the opportunity win prizes by taking part in a fast-paced, game-show style quiz, designed to test their general knowledge.

Maintaining a history of fast expansion since forming in 2015, MacComms, which recently exceeded £100,000 in turnover, has grown more than 100% year on year since inception. The company has assisted almost 100 firms in raising their profile over the last three years.

Founder and managing director of MacComms, Ellie MacDonald commented:

“Having brought MacComms to Leeds in 2016, the company experienced rapid growth with the support of NatWest’s Entrepreneurial Spark programme and the fantastic support through their Leeds hub. We’ve recently moved to the Leeds Beckett University Digital Hub in partnership with the Yorkshire Post and we’re excited to begin the next chapter of MacComms’ journey.

“The last three years have been phenomenal and I’m so proud of how far my firm has come. We can’t wait to celebrate our accomplishments so far, and look forward to many more successful years.”

Fahad Khan, development manager at Simon on the Streets said:

“MacComms has been a great support to Simon on the Streets and we’re pleased to see them growing rapidly, we’re looking forward to celebrating with the team at the event, which will also be raising funds for the charity.”

Murdo MacLeod, director at Zest Mixology added:

“MacComms has been integral in growing the awareness of Zest Mixology brand as a national supplier of pop-up mixology services for business events and private parties. We’re looking forward to transforming the Parkinson’s Suite from working space to an entertaining place!”
