Fashion brand Katherena celebrates its first high street launch
Up-and-coming fashion brand Katherena has celebrated its debut on the high street.
Uptown Girl, in Cowdenbeath in Scotland, will now stock the full range of Katherena bags, after business owners Katie Sykes and Jean Young agreed to a partnership.
Katie, founder of Katherena Ltd, said: “I’m delighted to have secured this high street presence. Jean does a fantastic job of promoting her brands both online and offline, so I have no doubt that this partnership will provide benefits for both our businesses.”
Katherena's quality bags fit well with the Uptown Girl brand, which provides customers with affordable and unique products to the Scottish marketplace.
Jean Young, Owner of Uptown Girl, said: “I decided to partner with Katie because I liked her background and personal story relating to how she set up the business, and the fact that she personalises the products, naming them based on her own experiences. I feel privileged and honoured that Katie chose Uptown Girl as her first stockist.”
According to Jean, in the initial period since the partnership went live the bags have received lots of compliments in the shop and the rucksacks have been selling really well.
Katie added: “The products look really great on display, and my plan is to continue building the brand’s high street presence through other physical stores. I’m aiming for the next store to be located in the south or east of England. Our bags are designed for the woman on-the-go so she can always travel in style.”
