Escape rooms provide holiday entertainment for children - and salvation for parents

ClueTrace voted 25th best place to visit by TripAdvisor

Parents looking to entertain their children over the summer holidays have a new must-visit destination, according to TripAdvisor users.

ClueTrace, a London-based escape room, was recently voted the 25th best place to visit by users of the travel website in a list of 'the top 25 places to lock the kids away in the school holidays'.

Located on Shacklewell Lane, a short walk from Dalston Kingsland railway station, ClueTrace currently offers visitors two challenging escape rooms.

Mission Critical Double Agent places players in the espionage environment of '80s London and Berlin, while Mindcrime Memory Thief challengers players to enter the mind of a white collar criminal.

A third game, Mission Forever, is currently in development, but could be ready for the beginning of the holidays.

Rooms can be booked online and on the day, so parents struggling for ideas can be assured they have somewhere to turn, especially on a rainy day.

A company spokesperson for Clue Trace said “We know that parents can often struggle when it comes to keeping kids entertained over the six-week summer break. Gone are the days when children were left to their own devices to play outside with friends – it's now more common for families to arrange activities together.”

“However, this can be expensive – at Clue Trace, we aim to provide a fun-filled environment for families, all at an affordable price.”

"Come and check us out today - tickets start from just £18 per person."
