Entrepreneurs prove it pays to work together
A successful entrepreneur has signed up two fellow start-up businesses to support them with financial management.
Sowerby Bridge-based Mellor Financial Management has signed up MacComms, a Leeds-based PR agency and Harrogate-based Myroo, an organic skincare brand, stocked in Leeds’ John Lewis’.
The Yorkshire entrepreneurs met on business accelerator programme, Entrepreneurial Spark, Leeds. The scheme is the largest of its kind in the world, funded by NatWest.
Mellor Financial Management is run by Martin Mellor, a senior finance management specialist with more than 20 years’ experience. Formed in 2016, Mellor Financial Management provide financial management and training information, as well as the latest technology to increase the efficiency of businesses.
Ellie MacDonald, founder and managing director of MacComms comments:
“Having Martin on board has proved to be a great help! So much more than just an accountant, he helps me to forecast finances in the business as well as taking care of the headache which regulations such as tax have previously given me!”
Martin adds:
“As a fellow start-up entrepreneur, I know the issues small businesses face. We support business owners by cutting out the jargon, delivering financial advice and support required in a relaxed, yet informative way, so that business owners can focus on growing their firm.”
Martin also provides training advice and support and is holding a course for business owners and managers; ‘finance for non-finance managers’, on 16 February, Leeds.
