Entrepreneur to speak at leading early years exhibition

A Yorkshire-based businesswoman is set to speak at a leading early years exhibition, having developed a range of creative learning resources for children.

Stacey Kelly, founder of Early Years Story Box, will speak about the importance of instilling positive belief systems in children at Childcare Expo London on Saturday 3 March.

Recently launched, Early Years Story Box is a subscription website and online store providing children’s storybooks and Early Years teaching resources.

A former teacher, Stacey was inspired to write and illustrate her own children’s books after becoming a mum, selling more than 800 personalised copies worldwide before having her second child.

Having always made her own resources whilst teaching, Stacey initially decided to create activities to keep her own children occupied using the illustrations from her books. Realising that linking the resources to the story books unlocked the children’s imagination, the idea for Early Years Story Box was born.

Focusing on supporting children’s emotional well-being, each storybook contains moral messages to help them make sense of the world.

With a wealth of expertise and experience, Stacey will deliver the talk to 80 childcare professionals with a focus on three key elements in shaping a child’s future; imagination, creativity and self-belief.

Childcare Expo is the longest-running free exhibition in the Early Years sector. Held at Olympia London on 2 and 3 March 2018, the event features a range of exhibitors and workshops offering a variety of products, services and CPD seminars for Early Years professionals.

Commenting on attending Childcare Expo London, Stacey said:

“I am so happy to have been chosen to speak at such a fantastic event. I am so passionate about Early Years and I cannot wait to share my thoughts and ideas with everyone who attends.”

Emma Barrett, event director of Childcare Expo commented:

“We are delighted to have Stacey as a key speaker at Childcare Expo London. Amongst an array of expert speakers and associations, we are sure that the attendees will leave feeling inspired by Stacey’s presentation.”

With a passion for nurturing children’s emotional wellbeing, Stacey has also launched the #ThankYouOaky Gratitude Movement. Available for nurseries to download, the movement is a simple method which empowers children to use gratitude to master their own thoughts and create a life of happiness.
