Don’t panic if you have just remembered that it is Mother’s Day this Sunday and you haven’t booked anywhere to make the special Mum in your life feel loved. The Organisers have the solution with a number of great suggestions that will not only impress the deserving lady but also keep the children occupied. We have been booking left, right and centre and at the time of print, these lovely places have spaces!
Inamo
Location: Covent Garden
Inamo showcases Pan-Asian cuisine through pioneering interactive ordering and entertainment systems. Children will love the digital tables where food can be ordered and games can be played. The food is also child friendly with a selection of small dishes. The extensive sushi menu has options for everyone this Mothering Sunday.
HIX Soho
Location: Soho
The Sunday Lunch menu caters for everyone with the choice of Roast sirloin of Glenarm Estate beef or the Lyme Bay cuttlefish or for the full choice the A La Carte menu can also be enjoyed. Head chef Mark Hix has campaigned for better food in restaurants for children and his own restaurant offers a great special menu for children including sausage and mash, fish finders and mushy peas and breaded chicken.
OXO Tower Restaurant
Location: South Bank, Waterloo
With views across London and the River Thames there is plenty to see from key landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral to the Millennium Bridge. The special Mother’s Day menu showcases seasonal ingredients such as a Roasted loin of Lamb or smoke duck confit. There is also the great children’s menu which includes caramelized popcorn for dessert.
Coq d’Argent
Location: City of London
Coq d’Argent offers views across the City of London with great heated outdoor terrace areas. The French based Mother’s Day menu showcases indulgent dishes including the spring black truffle and ricotta tortellini. Children are welcomed to the restaurant and have a great menu to choose from including a Sirloin Steak for special occasions such as Mother’s Day.
Blue Boar
Location: Westminster
Blue Boar offers British dining in the heart of Westminster celebrating seasonal ingredients. Mothers dining at the restaurant on Mother’s Day will enjoy a free glass of wine with her meal. Both the Sunday Lunch menu and Children’s menu are perfect after a morning exploring Westminster’s site such as Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.
Private Chef
The Organisers can arrange for a private chef to attend your own home and prepare a special private meal for you and the family from the comfort of your home. A menu of your choice can be prepared with special meals for the children. The one who should be spoiled on Mothering Sunday is mum and bringing in a chef will make sure she stays out of the kitchen!
